Privacy Policy
Effective November 5, 2026 · Mac App Store edition
In short: Time Keeper records usage time only for the apps you allow, keeps it on this Mac, and never sends your records anywhere.
1. What the app stores
- The name and identifier of the frontmost app, with start and end times, only for apps you chose to track.
- Your settings, such as character, limits, language and your list of tracked apps.
- Pictures you add for your own character (background-removed copy only) and any lines you edit.
The app does not record window titles, screen contents, keystrokes, browser addresses or location. Time spent while waiting for your answer about a new app stays in memory and is saved only if you choose to track that app.
2. Where it is stored and for how long
Everything stays on your Mac, inside the app’s sandbox folder: ~/Library/Containers/com.timekeeper-app.timekeeper/Data/Library/Application Support/TimeKeeper. It is kept until you delete it.
3. What is not collected
There is no account, advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party SDK. The developer receives none of your records.
4. Internet and sharing
The app has no network access and does not send, share or sell your data. Updates come from the App Store. Send Feedback only opens a new draft in your own mail app, with the app and macOS versions filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send it. Privacy Policy opens this page in your browser.
5. Permissions
- Files you choose: the app reads a picture only when you select it or drag it in.
- Login item: registered only if you turn on opening at login in Settings. It is off by default.
6. Your choices
- Change or remove tracked apps in Settings at any time.
- Use Delete all records in Settings to erase your usage records.
- To remove everything, delete the app and then delete the folder above.
7. Children
Time Keeper is a general audience app and collects no personal information from anyone, whatever their age.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version and its effective date will be posted on this page.
